Who are we........Cameron Bain (not pictured), Capt Sian McCann and Logan our Springer!
This is our first blog of many, it is Summer our busy period, so we may not post as much as we would like...... For now Sian and I (owners of Highland Holiday Cottages) will use the blog to communicate local information, event's and things going on in the Cairngorms National Park......we may also give some indications on great places to forage for mushrooms in the Cairngorm National Park, such as Chanterellel, Boletus and other edible "free bees" that mother nature has to offer...
Sian and I, along with our good friends Reuel and Paula Chisholm "playing as organic pig farmers" from Grantown are heading off in October on a fungi training session.....we hope to bring these skills and local knowledge back to Crubenbeg Highland Holiday Cottages and our guests....we many even be collaborating with a local restaurant and offering weekly wild harvest foraging weeks later in the year...
