What's on at CairnGorm Mountain w/c 13th July 07

Saturday 14th Tour de France Mountain Stage - watch is live on the big telly from the Cas Bar at CairnGorm Mountain. On from 2pm until 5pm. If you cycle up from beyond Glenmore we'll even give you a complimentary ticket for the mountain railway.
Evening Events Sunset Dining at the Ptarmigan - the highest restaurant in the UK on Friday 13th and Saturday 14th - some places still available for this weekend.
Highland Fling Ceilidh Night takes place every Thursday night in the Top Station at CairnGorm. This night is really popular so book early - you can also book it online.

Mountain Walks Next weeks mountain walks include: Monday 16th is the Fiacaill Coire an t-Sneachda Scramble - full day walk starting at 10.30am. You'll need a head for heights as you scramble the ragged crest of the sharpest ridge in the Northern Cories and discover how it came to be formed. (not recommended for children and dogs this one, mountain kit, boots and lunch essential)
Tuesday 17th is the Summit Walk to the top of CairnGorm with our Interpration expert Jim Cornfoot, this walk begins at 10am. All walks depart from the Ranger Base at Coire Cas and booking is essential - call 01479 861341. Mountain Garden The Ring Ouzels are still around caring for their second brood and 2 baby stoats have made an appearance in the garden! - you'll have to keep your eyes peeled for those.
Coming soon: 2 new activities to watch out for later this month are: "The Early Bird Watch" is an early morning guided walk that will begin on Friday 27th July. "Behind the Scenes on the Mountain Railway" is a guided tour planned to start on Friday 20th. Diggers are at work around the Coire Cas Car Park, this work is the start of the new Arts Project landscape initiative. This project will take approximately 2 months and may involve some disruption in and around the car park area but customers will still be able to park their cars and enjoy the train and mountain facilities.
